The 4th of July (which is also Bret's birthday) was spent driving from Page to Utah for our adorable new niece Scarlet's blessing. When we got there Bret was surprised with a song and candles!

Then we all huddled together to watch the fireworks.

On the drive home we were in need of a stretch and stopped at the Moqui Cave just outside Kanab. It was a nice break from our long drive.

Even though we were exhausted from spending the previous week at Lake Powell, we love visiting Utah and spending time with family there. It was a great trip and Bret couldn't have asked for a better birthday!

Looks like so much fun when you all get together. I'm sure Bret's parents love to sit and watch their adult kids be such great friends.
